When people ask me “What’s your favorite color?” I respond, “Crayola.” 64-count to be exact! I mean, seriously. How can you pick just one color?! God created all these beautiful colors & hues & variations of hues, I’m just too overwhelmed to pick a color.

Colors┬ámake me happy. I’m so inspired by their beauty. Surprised by their appearance. And motivated to do something creative. I’m just going to put it out there, colors give me butterflies & giggles! You may be thinking, “Ok, Lauren! You’re getting a little too excited about some colors!” But let me just show you in pictures why I get so excited.

Beautiful, I know! Imagine a world of just black & white (like in The Giver), and tell me the thought doesn’t just bring you to tears. Maybe you don’t really notice all the colors around you everyday. May I challenge to look up from your screen & count the colors around you? Go ahead, I’ll wait….

Now go outside, or look out your window, and count those colors. Well, that’s more difficult. But you get the picture. We are surrounded by beauty. The blessing is all around us if we just take the time to notice it.

Comment below & let me know what your favorite color isand don’t be so generic (like blue or yellow). Be specific (like Macaroni & Cheese or Midnight Blue)

Ah! Lauren, you’re so right about colors! Love this post. Your fruit picture reminds me of the coolest thing I found at the Farmer’s Market this am, a canary melon! As the name suggests, it’s bright yellow like a Canary, and man! It’s so sweet! I would be tempted to say my favorite color is orange, but you totally reminded me I used to always tell people my favorite color was “Crayola Macaroni and Cheese” growing up! :)
