Mint and Gold Styled Photo Shoot

I don’t blog much about my life as a wedding planner, but I simply adore it. I love being able to work with brides & other industry professionals to make a couple’s dream wedding a reality. I feel like a fairy godmother! But one of my favorite parts of being a wedding planner is that I get to participate/design styled photo shoots. Back in June, I did my very first solo styled shoot & the result gave me nothing less than extreme butterflies & giggles.

I wanted to do my first styled shoot that was true to my style & a reflection of my personality. I was completely obsessed with mint & gold color palettes (and still am), therefore, I started there & let my imagination run wild. Drafting my inspiration board, I was inspired my the elegance of Parisian architecture that reminded me of a time when my grandfather told me a story about when he was stationed in France during WWII, and he met a Parisian girl named Marjorie (who my mother is named after). This was the drive I had to make this styled shoot absolutely stunning.

I had the perfect location & the perfect team of vendors. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. We had the photo shoot at the Biltmore Ballrooms in Midtown, Atlanta. I mean, this venue is an inspiration in and of itself, but was completely and utterly perfect for my vision. But quite honestly, I couldn’t have pulled of this shoot without the amazing talents of my team of vendors.

Edge Design Group used the natural green colors of succulents to compliment the color scheme & give the centerpieces a unique flare. The subtle & personal touches of the stationery by Foglio Press set a literal tone for the shoot’s theme.

The linen, provided by Nuage Designs, included a mint dupioni with a gold sequin overlay, and the chair covers were the perfect detail to give the shoot a girly touch. Miss Milly’s provided tons of rental options for us to choose, from the buffet & dinnerware to the favor keys & beautiful candelabra. And in case you were wondering, the macarons by XK Macarons were green tea flavored, and yes we ate them all after the shoot! They were so good!

I’m just absolutely blown away by Melissa of Melissa Prosser Photography who captured each detail of the design. Looking at these photos brings me to a very happy place. I could literally cry right now!

Love the details from the shape of the chargers, to the colors and details on the plates, down to that glamorous gold sequin table cloths. So beautiful. My friend will love this idea for her wedding. She’s wanting to do a mint green color palette.
