DIY Office Tea Canister

I’ve mentioned before here & there my deep love for all kinds of tea. I’m not quite sure when this love started, but I can still remember my first cup. It was a fresh brewed cup of Jamaican Fever Tea. I’m not sure the blend & I’m not sure why it instantly made me feel 10 times better, but I remember it was oh so good & seemed to cure whatever illness ailed me. Since then, I have progressively become a tea snob. At times, I can be really picky about my teas. Hence, why I carry tea bags with me in my purse all day everyday!

But tea bags will only get the dedicated tea lovers so far. Where the real magic comes from is in the loose leaves of a perfect tea blend. With loose leaf teas you reap all the rich benefits of tea as it was originally meant to be      a magical beverage that is good for you & good to you. With loose leaf teas you taste more of the flavor, the hot water is able to extract more of the goodness (like vitamins, minerals, & antioxidants, depending on the blend), and not to mention your nose is able to accept a more pleasing aroma without the bag getting in the way.

But here’s my dilemma, when I’m at work I can’t be bringing all my loose leaf teas all willy nilly whenever I feel like it. Sure, I could put them in separate Ziplocks & tote them around like some bag lady, but that’s just not my style. Oh, please believe if I’m going to be toting my loose leaves around it’s going to be in something extra cute. So, in the quest to find a cute way to store my loose leaf teas at work, I came up with the grand idea of making something on my own. So today, I present to you a DIY Office Tea Canister using chalkboard spray paint.
