Before I moved into my current apartment 3 years ago, I made this door wreath.

It was the perfect touch to let people know that “Lauren lives here!” I was so proud of my door wreath & everyone knew how to find my place. But it’s gotten really dingy & dirty…and I don’t even want to think about what might be living inside the the crevices. So it’s time for something new. Let’s get a little crafty today & make a decorative apartment door number!

  1. Paint a base coat with your first color (2-3 coats) {Lesson Learned: I probably should have sanded the wooden letter before painting. It probably would have been smoother if I did.}
  2. Prepare the stencil applying stencil adhesive according to the adhesive’s instructions.
  3. Once base coat is dry, line up stencil & use the pouncer to paint over stencil.
  4. While paint is drying, spray paint wooden numbers.
  5. Once wooden numbers are dry, apply wood glue to numbers and line them up the way you want on the wooden letter. Allow glue to dry.
  6. Once everything is dry & in place, use twine to hang your new door sign on your apartment door!
