5 Productivity Apps for the Checklist Diva

Grace, Faith, & Glitter | 5 Productivity Apps

Sometimes I try to be a free-spirited and adventurous by doing something on a whim. Going totally unscheduled, and without a schedule….

But who am I kidding?! Those kind of days end up in one of two ways:
1. 30 minutes into my “spontaneity” I stop to make a list just to keep myself from hyperventilating

2. My day ends up in hives with a few regretful words I can’t take back

As much as I would love to be that free-spirited girl, that’s just not how I’m wired. So why force it?

My iPhone & iPad are jam-packed with productivity apps, but there’s five that always satisfy my urges for list making. If you’re anything like me, you may want to grab your phone and get ready to download.

 1. 2Do
This is my go-to to-do list app. I’ve tried hundreds, but this is the one I always go back to. It allows me to organize tasks by topic, repeat tasks, schedule tasks in advance, &   even has location reminders to remind me once I get to a certain location. I’ll admit it’s not a cheap app. But I’m fully invested. I use it on my iPhone, iPad, Macbook, &  iMac. If it’s not on my 2Do list, it probably won’t get done. Just saying!

2. Packing Pro
I love this packing list app. It comes with a standard list of essential packing items but is totally customizable. You can make separate lists for separate trips or people (or pets), and you can easily export your list out to send to others. Even when I try packing without a list, I always come back to this app just to double check that I packed everything I needed.

3. Anylist
I never go grocery shopping without this app. Because I’m gluten free and on a budget, I have to shop at several different grocery stores on my shopping days. Anylist allows me to make my separate list for each store. And….it separates each item into it’s proper category automatically!! I love that! This app satisfies my every OCD grocery shopping need. Oh, and you can color coordinate your lists (just thought I’d put that out there!)

4. VetCheck
I have a very “special” pup, with very “special” needs. So it’s crucial that I keep all his information organized and on hand. VetCheck allows me to keep all of his medical records, medications, food instructions, doctor’s appointments & notes, and so much more, on my phone. Plus it’s got a beautiful & clean UI and that’s very important to me.

5. Notability
With my job, I’m constantly receiving PDFs of this & PDFs of that. And I try to be green by not printing them out and keeping them on my phone or iPad, but sometimes I just have to make my own marks and notes on things. Notability has given me the ability to do just that. It allows me to add my own notes via text or handwriting anywhere on the PDF (in different colors if I want!) But this app does more than just that, it’s an app I often go to for my note taking.

I’m not biased to using just these apps for my list-making needs. Please, share with me some of your favorite productivity apps!
