In different seasons in your life, it’s good to have a stash of verses to keep in your pocket to remind you of God’s promises. Especially in those seasons where life just seems like it’s in limbo. A season very common with people who are single & in their 20s! A little bit of what’s been going on in my life lately:
- So…my boss at the church I work for is moving to preach at a church in Texas. Super proud and excited for him and his family. But I’ll be honest, I’m filled with so much anxiety & frustration about what’s next for the youth ministry & my position. Though things are busy with getting a search committee together, planning events during the interim, and whatnot, there’s still soooo much in limbo. So much unknown about the future. Then, there’s the anxiety about adjusting to a new boss & learning his or her ways of doing things. Every day seems like there’s another thing I have to think/worry about and it’s just rough.
- News flash: I’m dating someone! He’s pretty awesome! He’s a super sweet & caring, godly man. Things are going swimmingly, but I’m also learning how to date again & there’s always going to be struggles with that. Learning how to balance life between work, family, friends, BSF, & the boyfriend kind of stresses me out. Then there’s the “just taking things one day at a time” reminder in the back of my head. Which is a great reminder, but being the planner that I am, I’m just like “God let me know something so I can adequately plan out the rest of my life!” Do you feel me, ladies?!
- Then there’s the future in general. I have this strong feeling like God’s has got something great planned up His sleeve and He’s just about ready to reveal it in my life. There has been a lot of doors slowly opening & I’ve been so afraid to walk through them because I’m just afraid of what the future might hold. I’m having issues trusting God with the unknown because right now in my life there is so much of it. I’m excited about what’s to come but at the same time, I just wish I knew the exact plan.
In this season in my life, I need daily reminders to take courage and trust that God has everything under control. So today, I want to share with you 10 verses I need this season in my life. Maybe you’re in the same season too! I hope these bring you some encourage & speak truth into where you are right now. Feel free to share these images on social media & encourage others as well!
